What Can You Do To Increase Your Blog’s Popularity and Individuality

Hello, I’m back. I’m really sorry for keeping you to wait for so long. I have some personal problems recently, but don’t worry, I have sorted those problems out, and now, as usual, I’m going to provide some good tips on how to create a good blog. Today, I will cover how can you increase your blog’s popularity and individuality and hopefully, it can create a viral effect to generate more traffic.

Firstly, what is viral effect? (I’m sorry, all Internet marketer experts, please bear with me because I hope that I can provide a holistic information to all my visitors). Viral effect comes from the word “virus”. A virus will spread to large area. So, when I’m talking about viral effect, it means that your blog will be promoted by other people and extend the reach of your audience. It really sounds great if there are people promoting your blog for you right? So, how can we do it?

In my opinion, what you will need at first place is definitely good content. If your content is great and people like your content, they will automatically submit or vote your articles. Logically, you will get more visitors. People have been talking about getting onto the first page of Digg and received many visitors. How do they do it? The sole answer is – Good and high quality content. You will realize that it is hard for a website to get onto the first page of Digg or other social media sites, I would like to tell you, yes it is indeed very hard! Original and unique content is hard to find. Some people may think that their articles are perfect, but they have never realized that there are thousands of similar articles out there. If this is the problem, how can you make your article stands out among the others?

The answer revealed – Individuality. The individuality that I am talking here consists of your writing style and the way you present your information. For instance, any Tom, Dick or Harry can explain how to write a blog to you, however, have you ever find that they are very monotonous and dull? If so, then you should ask yourself, if you were given a chance to tell a story, will your story attract other people and how can you attract more people.

Personal writing style is really very important when it comes to attracting people. You should combine authoritative tones to increase your credibility and the thrust of the visitors, but at the same time, you must also be friendly enough to make the visitors feel comfortable. A good and unique writing style does not come easily, you will need to practice, practice and practice. Thrust me, mastering this skill, will definitely benefit you in the long time. Here are some backgrounds on blog before we get started. Blog used to be very easy to get traffic back in 2005 when everyone just sets up blog and ping the blog inexorably to attract the Google spider to crawl the blogs to obtain higher ranking in Google. However, Google has discovered this and has taken immediate action to stop this easy way to get Google traffic. Today, pinging your blog will has little or almost no effect on increasing your Google traffic. So, since you cannot easily get traffic from Google, then what should you do? Give up blogging? No! Blogging is the easiest way to get targeted traffic because if you update your blog frequently, the people will revisit your blog.

Firstly, since pinging will have no effect on increasing your Google rank. We should understand this fact and we should go back to the more traditional way to drive traffic – Search Engine Optimization, or SEO. It will be very difficult to teach you the whole concept of SEO, but please allow me to break SEO down to several ideas :

What Is SEO?
SEO means you optimize your blog with certain keywords. So, when Google Spider crawl through your blog, it will perceive your blog as highly relevant in that topic, hence your blog will receive higher credit than other blog.

What Can SEO Do?
SEO will allow you to increase your Google Page Rank, and hence, subsequently increase your Google ranking.

How Can I SEO My Blog?
There are many points to keep in mind when you are going to optimize your keywords.
1) Make sure your head line, the first paragraph, somewhere in the body and the last paragraph have the specific keyword. For example, if the keyword is “cook a chicken”, Then your blog post should be something like this:
Head line : Tips on How To Cook A Chicken
First Paragraph : I have searched through the Internet to know how to cook a chicken…
Body : …… I used a pot to cook a chicken ….
Final Paragraph : …. So, that is all the advices on how to cook a chicken.
Do, you see that I have repeatedly using the word “cook a chicken”? That is what we call keyword optimization.
2) Increase your backlink. This can be done by exchanging your link with other blogs which have related topic. Please bear in mind that you should exchange link if the other blogs have higher or same Page Rank. Do not exchange link with blogs which have no relation with your topic at all. For example, if your blog is about cooking, do not exchange link with a blog which is about computer games. Besides that, you can submit your blog to free rss directories and site directories, some of these do not require a reciprocal link at all, hence, this will increase your one way backlink. You will be able to find Free RSS Submitter and Free Directory Submitter available in the net.

SEO is the best way to drive long term traffic to your blogs, but please keep in mind that SEO requires long term effort, so do not give up!

After many years of buying into everything in sight I finally got the message.

For years I have been told, get a list, well I tried and failed miserably. Seemed I got a few and as fast as I got them they disappeared. Many of you know what I mean.

Then someone did me a favor I was told to write articles and get sites linking to mine. I didn’t think much of that idea as I thought I had no talent for writing.

However after 3 years or so with no results I was desperate.

Well, 10 weeks ago I decided I would give it a go.

Didn’t think I could do it, but I wrote one article about Toxins, then I wrote another and another, to date I have 20. Even though I say it myself, they are not too bad.

I next sent the Articles to 150 directories manually. I know there is software out there that works great, unfortunately it never worked for me.

Anyway, as can imagine it was a lot of work. I kept at it, and I found most of the directories linked back to my site and I began to get hits.

By the way I did this without spending one red cent. I had made a decision that no money would be spent for anything. During the years I had spent enough. I wanted to prove it could be done without spending.

I guess I could have put this together as an ebook and charged the usual $47.00 for it, that seems to be the regular number. I decided against that, as I had made a vow I would not spend any more money, and I didn’t want others to spend.

It is quite an achievement to get to No 1 on Google and spending nothing. Oh, that’s a lie, I did spend $1.50 on a Article submitter on eBay, unfortunately it didn’t work. That is something I should mention here, these Article submitters are available for $47.00 (there’s that number again) all over the internet, however you can get them for $1.50 on eBay. The guy told me the one I bought from him worked on his computer, so it could be a good deal.

You really need a submitter for it is a lot of work, believe me.

After you have sent all your articles to the directories, you receive links back to your site, as you well know linking is one of the most important factors to get your site listed high on the search engines.

The 100 or so links coming back to my site from the articles were not enough to do the full job, so I had to come up with a software to do the job for me. Free of course….

I found http://www.linkshighway.net/main/ This did a great job for me, easy to use, it got 70 extra links in the matter of a couple of hours. Really it is easy as pie. I get more than that, I had 14 requests to link to me, yesterday so it continually builds.

Then I saw somewhere, the more links to your site the better, these guys were talking in thousands. Iv’e still some work to do.

As I said, about 4 weeks ago I started to get hits to my site and I have kept records of them, as I wanted to see how they grew.

Once again it was easy going, simple. I now had 20 articles out there to 150 directories and had 200 sites linking back to my site. Now the next thing was to have a web site that was friendly to the search engines.

I will continue with this posting in a couple of days as I have something that really is pressing.

Before I leave I have to show you this, here are the results of the last few keywords that are truly working, I will give you the reason in a couple days why they work.

I have included some great tips that a new blogger should do to improve there blogs page ranking.

Unique Content.

Try to post an article everyday that is unique to your topic. The frequency of your posts is very important when it comes to keeping Rss readers. Posting 2 or 3 articls one day and then waiting another 2 or 3 days to post again won’t help you at all.

Back Links.

Improve your blog ranking with back links.  I use several sites to publish my blogs posts and offer RSS feed.  Don’t be to picky with who you exchange links with, if they are a PR 0 or a PR 10 it should not matter as a link is always a benefit, and as that blog or website grows  so will the value of those links.

SEO .

The page title element (some refer to it as the title tag which is incorrect) is one of the most important factors for ranking highly in the search engines.

Page title elements are normally 3-9 words (60-80 characters) maximum in length, no fluff, straight and to the point. This is what shows up in most search engine results as a link back to your page.

Make sure your Page Title Element (title tag) is relevant to the content on the page.

Promotion. 

Get involved in posting comments on other blogs that are in your niche. So today go out and find a blog that you know the niche and get involved and make a comment.

These tips will get you started and will increase your visitors and page rank in the long run.

Well, you’ve joined the others and have created a blog. It is time to tell the world about your online journal. Most blog services generate an RSS feed. If your blogging software does not create an RSS feed, consider using software like FeedForAll http://www.feedforall.com to create an RSS feed. Like blogs, RSS is growing in popularity and is a great way to spread the word about a new blog.

Syndication is conceptually simple. It allows publishers to distribute content that can be displayed in another location or context. Using RSS, publishers are able to easily create and disseminate content feeds that include news headlines, blog summaries and related links. RSS is the defined syndication standard that has become mainstream. All types of information are now available in a syndicated format.

1. Blog Submissions / RSS Submissions
